Image

The We Achieve Foundation stands as a beacon of hope, dedicated to improving the lives of the neediest in our communities. Founded with an unwavering vision by Raynard Gainey, we aim to raise awareness and generate resources to support a diverse and robust pool of opportunities for the youth, teens, and young adults aged 10 to 21.

With your invaluable support, we are not just building programs; we are constructing bridges that connect our children to brighter futures. Your donations, whether financial or in-kind, be it from wish-list items or tangible goods like cars, boats, or motorcycles, serve as the cornerstones of change. Every contribution becomes a catalyst for community transformation, fostering growth, and empowering our youth.

A Foundation Built on Values Upholding Dignity, Respect, and Humanity At the core of our foundation lie the values that guide us. Dignity isn't just a word; it's the standard of behavior we model for our members. Respect isn't just a gesture; it's the treatment standard that our members are determined to display. Humanity isn't just a concept; it's the community standard that infuses every corner of our We Achieve Foundation society and resonates through our corporate affiliates.

A Leader With 25 Years of Experience

President and founder Raynard Gainey has dedicated the past 25 years to assisting the underserved, with a focus on amplifying connections with the underprivileged, particularly the youth. His experiences, education, and employment in human services have shaped his commitment, revealing a profound understanding of various challenges:

  • Addressing Mental Health and Addiction in the Homeless Population:In his role as a job developer for the homeless, Ray identified significant gaps in addressing mental health issues and underlying addictions within this population.
  • Counseling Services for Substance Abusers in the LGBTQ Community: Ray's provision of counseling services for substance abusers in the LGBTQ community enlightened him to the unique needs of this vulnerable group, consistently at risk and under fire.
  • Teaching Men's Health and Substance Abuse Awareness in Prisons: While teaching men's health and substance abuse awareness in the prison population, Ray recognized the crucial need for education and empowerment programs to facilitate a successful re-entry into the community.
  • Passion for Fatherhood and Foster Parenting: Ray's experience as a foster parent connected his passion for fatherhood with the unique compassion required to care for displaced children, especially those with special needs.
  • Veteran in Opioid Treatment and Substance Abuse Programs: With a 14-year tenure specializing in major NYC hospitals in opioid treatment and substance abuse programs, coupled with his certification as a NYS Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor, Ray brings a wealth of experience across all phases of social services.
  • Founding We Achieve Foundation (WAF): Since July 2020, Ray has been spearheading the development of the grassroots non-profit, We Achieve Foundation (WAF). The organization's mission is to provide essential services to children and adolescents between the ages of 10 to 21 facing challenges related to poverty, food insecurity, educational disparities, and homelessness. The dedicated WAF staff will offer counseling, mentoring, tutoring, and other services tailored to the unique needs of the client population and the community at large. Ray remains committed to making a meaningful impact through WAF's initiatives.
